Due to 24:24 today I just realized I have never smoked an H. Upmann cigar, and am shocked by the revelation. Not one. I've been smoking for 15 years (with 5 year hiatus) and have never had one ever. I believe I've tried every other CC Marca. I've tried (what feels like) almost all the NC premium brands. Is this a strange occurrence you think? Anyone have a similar experience--having this much time invested and never had one single cigar from the Marca? What should I expect? Feels kind of like its new all over again!

I'm a bad **** for the half carona. I get a hell of a lot out of them for the size. High end of med body. Toast, sweet spice and some earthy wood notes for me, every time! Nicely priced too

In addition to the recommendations above, I'll add the Connie A and Upmann No. 2. My 2016 smoke of the year (so far) was a Connie A -- and was less than a year old. And El Prez himself has widely sung the praises of the more recent Upmann No. 2, which is rich and interesting now, and has legs for years to come.

Upmann just might be my favorite marca at the moment.

I think I remember a thread from last year that revealed that Upmann was the most popular marca occupying space in FOHers' humidor. A bit off topic but found that to be interesting.

To answer your question, I would guess there are lots of us long time smokers who have not smoked a particular marca or two or even more.

Upmann is also my favorite marca. Huge fan of the HUHC, PC, No 2, Connie 1, Mag 46, Royal Robusto, and of course the elusive Sir Winston. The thing is, I like all of these for different reasons. I'm not a big "marca DNA" enthusiast. I'm not even sure what you would call Upmann DNA. To me they all have different flavor profiles, and I enjoy them all. The most notable similarity among them all is the band.

Speaking of Upmann, it's the most represented marca in my humidor, great cigars, all of them! fix that asap.

Diplomaticos had escaped me until very recently, which I suppose is somewhat understandable given that they only have the single vitola these days. I finally tried a Dip 2, and it was absolutely amazing! In fact, I became quite upset at the fact that I would never get to smoke their other vitolas. But then I am a 'glass half-empty' type of person. And also a 'glass one-quarter' empty type of person lol.

Best Upmann I've had was a Mag 50 recently.
