topdiesel Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 The Photo attached is from today's weekend sale. I have seen many folks debate their preference for box pressed vs. round. I prefer round cigars. So the pic shows that the Wide Churchill is not that pressed. Is it because it is a larger cigar? All of my pc and small smokes seem to be really box pressed. I have a box of RyJ Wide Churchills and they aren't really pressed. are there any small ring gauge cigars that come in dress boxes and retain a round shape? Sorry for the title. I accidentally hit enter as I was typing.
Orion21 Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 I think it has more to do with the box, than the cigars. If you look at this box the cigars have a good half inch of room when the top is closed. They are also very young. Some of the other boxes that are more boxed pressed probably have lids that press them down over time, intern you get a box press. To be honest, I have never been able to tell a difference between a box pressed cigar and round. I prefer my cigars from cab and you get some crazy impressions caused by the ribbon and the cigars touching. 1
