this is something for aussie rugby fans (if there are any left).
worst possible loss. why the hell was he not made captain in the first place? instead, the geniuses in charge appoint a bloke who is out for most of the season. you could not make it up. and then as a stand-in? simmons. the bloke has enough trouble remembering to get to lineouts. a disgrace the way gill has been treated by graham. still, perhaps they already knew he’d had a gutful.
every single person at the reds should be sacked immediately, right down to the cleaner. unbelievable.
wonder how much this has to do with graham being there. is there a worse coach in any sport, now or in history? i gather gill wanted out last year when graham reappointed (lots of talk he’d signed with the rebels).
so on one hand we have graham and on the other gill. i’m sure that the doctors among us would know that if something has gone gangrenous and rotten to the core, it is time to chop it off. not the imbeciles at the qru. better we chop off the healthy bits – that way they can’t get infected. this would be their version of ‘we had to destroy the village to save it’? not that we have many healthy bits. these vile scum in charge of the reds have destroyed this team.
frankly, if the reds are at suncorp and the broncos are on tv, i’m staying home. not in 50 years have i said that but enough. and i can’t wait till these 30 year tickets expire so i can tell them i will never attend another reds game. never do anything that will put a single cent in their pockets (as it stands, i have not spent a cent at the ground since they appointed the toxic hobbit as coach – not a pie, not a beer). hell, i’d almost rather watch that other crap at the gabba.
the maggots at qru PR rang and asked if i wanted to purchase tickets to the tests this year (it was always part of our deal with the tickets but these slithering vermin reneged, as they have reneged on so much – and then they wonder why pissed off, lifelong supporters tell them to bugger off and sue them). i burst out laughing. pay to watch anything to do with australian rugby? i’d rather give it to a dodgy Nigerian widow’s lawyer.
i seriously hope for the wooden spoon so we can clear out the entire fetid, swirling cesspool of mediocrity and incompetence that supposedly runs this team for they are the swine that has destroyed us. for the first (and presumably last) time ever, i will not feel like vomiting if nsw beat us, indeed thrash us, because it will hopefully be yet another nail in the coffin of crap that we have become. but it does not seem to matter how many nails. the self-interested myopic filth in charge are only there to protect their own positions. otherwise, they would have long gone.
as for cooper, wow. the stupidity. he negotiates a release for a couple of tournaments a year, from his toulon club. so the morons in the aru (they do not deserve capitals), waste one by having the bloke fly all the way out here to be told bugger off. imagine cooper in sevens (though a moronic waste he is not on the field for the reds). cooper and heaps of room and ad lib football. christ, the denver broncos defence could not touch him.
i feel violated.

No need to hold back Ken, why don't you let us know what you really think :-)

Good luck to Liam.

He was good at math in school. Right now he is the 5th ranked flanker in Oz as per the Australian Rugby Union honchos. I personally rank him 3rd but that means nought.

He is unlikely to play for the Wallabies in the short term.

Make twice to three times the money playing in France. Come back in three years and test the waters again.

I don't see this as being a Queensland Reds bungle. They can't afford to keep him. He can't afford to stay.

don't absolve them of this. they could have signed him long term but never did. it is clear that only one from him and the worst coach in human history was going to stay. the garbage at the top decided it would be their mate. if these blokes were not incompetent and had set up a winning team and winning culture, no reason he would not stay.

and as far as i am concerned, these idiots can be blamed for everything from krakatoa to the crusades.

The QLD Reds management are bumbling idiots. No Argument.

It is a good move by Liam, for Liam.

Come back in three years (26), 10 kilo's heavier and about 1.5 - 2 million richer than staying with the Reds who are going nowhere fast.

He will be at his peak with good coin in his pocket. Pocock will be 30. Liam should be in a position to push for a Wallabies spot.
