I've tried a few of the RASCC, but not BJC and am looking to stock a few boxes - curious about a comparison of these two.

Compare the taste / flavor / strength properties of these two Minutos;

Bolivar Coronas Junior

Ramon Allones Small Club Corona

Enjoying a RASCC now - 2014 box, ENE I think. It is definitely a milder cigar. Excellent construction and smooth down to the nub. Good, slightly tight draw, smokes cool if you go slow. Flavors are mostly bright grass and hay with quality tobacco notes. Flavors are nice in this lighter cigar. A definite buy IMHO.

:lookaround: I've never had a RASCC that could qualify as "mild" or "milder"

You probably prefer lighter cigars. I admit that I prefer cigars that are stronger and bolder in flavor.

Might be helpful if you described these two cigars rather than only offer criticisms. That would be more helpful.

I think I know what you mean but I think the term light or mild just can't apply to the RASCC. It's what I would call a true medium in every way. Very similar in strength to Party Shorts.

As far as the RASCC and Boli CJ comparison, the CJ is definitely stronger, richer and earthier. The RASCC when on, are extremely complex and tasty--but is is an acquired taste. Herbal, honey, grassy, light sweet fruit.

They both have the potential to be equally great, but I prefer the Boli, when it's on.

I would take the cj over the rascc, well i would take any bolivar over any ramon allones. All RAs i had tasted boring, just earthy with some hints of this and that sometimes while 9/10 bolivar had a strong espresso flavor with some dark chocolate and were really good.

body: medium to full vs full (rascc vs bcj) to be honest they are both pretty intense and flavourful.

strength: they are both strong cigars

the flavour profiles are different. the bcj is more earthy, leathery with a sweet core and espresso while rascc has a fruity core with some biscuity kinda thing. rascc is more complex to me, bcj is more simplified but fuller

I like them both but when it comes to minutos my ranking is: partagas shorts, bcj, rascc, el principe

I have found several lose draw in both bcj and rascc. few tight or plugged in rascc. smoked multiple boxes of each

this is only my personal opinion and we know everybody is different with different taste buds etc...

Like Sophistic I prefer Bolivar over RA generally. RA superiores is the cigar what stands out from RA for me. While BCG, BBF, BCJ, BPC, BRC are all brilliant cigars.

I've only had a couple BCJ in my time but I remember them being real flavor bombs. I adore Bolivar's but don't smoke many Minutos. I'm a big Corona guy.
