mcease022 Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Hi all, Can you recommend a good wireless hygrometer. I heard oregon scientific are good but very expensive in canada. I was looking at AcuRite Digital Weather Station with Wireless Outdoor Sensor but not sure how accurate it is. Thanks!!
NCPANTHERZFAN Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 I just purchased the weather station 10. I comes with 3 sensors, but can handle up to 8. I have 2 wineadors and keep 2 in each. I displays all temps and rh on 1 screen without having to scroll. I like it. Hope this helps!
egoo33 Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 I use these http://www.amazon.com/Meade-TS33C-M-Temperature-Humidity-Sensor/dp/B004K6LOR8/ref=pd_sim_201_1?ie=UTF8&refRID=0R63HTMB3A0GGMGEGES3 paired to this http://www.amazon.com/Meade-Instruments-TM005X-M-Wireless-Hygrometer/dp/B004I08CEO/ref=pd_bxgy_201_img_2?ie=UTF8&refRID=19T0P8D5Y1E5NGQGYG4F good to go out of the box
PHXCSC Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 Ambient weather WS-10 , comes with 3 sensors and can add 5 more. Very reasonable price and accuracy. Base unit functions as a sensor as well. I have tried several and this has been the best all around so far. 1
mcease022 Posted January 19, 2016 Author Posted January 19, 2016 Thanks guys. The Ambient weather WS-10 looks awesome. 1
yhomas Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 I have used the WS-10 for the last ~6 months. Good price/performance.
busdriver Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 I have been using the ws-10 for about 8 months and am happy with it. I would like to have something wifi connected but that is significantly more money. I have had one sensor fo bad but otherwise no problems.
jimsta10 Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 Wireless Senor Tags: http://wirelesstag.net/ no licensing required. cloud based, can check via iphone or computer remotely... alerts can be set with thresholds. these have been working perfectly for me (6 months in already). 1
Cep Posted February 28, 2017 Posted February 28, 2017 Are your wireless tags still going strong? I am trying to decide on the tags vs sensor push Thx
tengel78 Posted February 28, 2017 Posted February 28, 2017 The wirless tags seem pretty awesome. I need to read up on it more. This would be perfect for my wineador, cooler, as well as a large chest freezer we have. The water sensor would also be handy to monitor the basement.
Hamaki Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Has anyone used a system that would continuously log temp and rH data so that it can be downloaded and reviewed in greater detail?

I built exactly what you are describing... https://humidro.com/dashboard/. I couldn't find a platform that offered what I wanted with sensors, so I built my own platform and sensors. There is a build post in the humidor section here if you are interested in the system. Over 10M data points are logged in the database over the last 7 months. Graphs use Google charts, and the database logs sensor data every minute and broadcasts its via wifi. No base stations, no bluetooth, no near-field syncing, just good old wifi.
