Guest Robertfarr13021 Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 I'm going the coolidor route. I bought a 50 quarts cooler and getting it ready. Got 1 pound heartfelt beads 65%. I'm new to the cigar world so my collection is very small. I have 3 boxes I can put in there but there will be a lot of space left. I was wondering if put me 50 count humidor in there as well would it do anything negative to the stix in the humidor. I would eventually take it out as my collection grows but that could me a long time. Sent from my SM-G928V using Tapatalk
NapaNolan Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Would you leave the humidor open? If it's closed you won't get much benefit other than occupying some empty space. Maybe get some Spanish cedar blocks to just help regulate the empty space.
Guest Robertfarr13021 Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 I have boveda packs 65% in the himidor. It's more for space. Didn't know if it would do any damage. Sent from my SM-G928V using Tapatalk
BMWBen Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 It will be fine I do the same thing. I leave a boveda in the humidor and have a cedar divider wedged in to crack the lid open
Guest Robertfarr13021 Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Ok cool thanks Sent from my SM-G928V using Tapatalk
Scrubber Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Wouldn't it just be like having the desktop humidor sitting in a room with an ambient humidity of 65%? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Guest Robertfarr13021 Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 That's what I was thinking. Had to ask the experts though Sent from my SM-G928V using Tapatalk

Kbb Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Should be fine. Just use a clean rag to wipe down all sides (bottom too) of the humidor so that you do not introduce any foreign containments. Do not use any cleaning products, just a rag and maybe have it slightly damp.
