kuma
In 1968 Cuban Davidoff formats No. 1 / No. 2 and Ambassadrice were launched. The Mille series launched in 1976 w/five formats Davidoff 1000 to Davidoff 5000 stronger than pervious three formats. The five Chateaux cigars revived a year later had even a stronger taste which were called "Dom Perignon". The Double Corona from this groupe was (medium-strong) leaning to the milder side. Davidoff 80 Aniversario "Grand Double Corona" marked the end of the series. Taken from "Davidoff" Legend - Myth - Reality by Dieter H. JohnS
Davidoff 80 Aniversario "Grand Double Corona" marked the end of the series. Yes, these cigars were indeed impressive with a 48 ring gauge and 220 mm (8 and 5/8 inches) length. They were releases to commemorate Zino Davidoff's 80th birthday. The packaging was unique too as this link with images on Cuban Cigar Website demonstrates... http://www.cubancigarwebsite.com/brand.aspx?brand=Davidoff#81_80_Aniversario
