From "The Whisperer" in Havana wink2.gif

Will there be a Museum one day?

The project for the new site of the Tobacco Museum has been put on hold. The old Partagas factory has not seen any renovations taking place since January 2012. The factory is decaying and nobody can tell an exact day to start repairing the old building.

I know a couple of friends who are eager to donate their entire collection to the Museum once this project is completed but they are now hesitant in relation to the poor significance attributed to it. I can´t simply understand why the the Government is so poorly involved in this. The company in charge of this renovation is Habaguanex, which belongs to the Office of the Historian of the City. So far nothing has been done. Let´s keep our hopes high, it might come as a surprise.

True shame if this doesn't happen. It would be a Habanophile's Mecca.

Many friends already have invested so much time , effort & moneys into this. I sure hope it is successfully opened. Until then we just have to keep flipping through Amir's "Partagas El Libre"
