Well as you are probably aware I'm a newbie here and a newbie to cigars in general so this is my first ever review.

I smoked this on a rainy Sunday evening in Sydney. Humidity would have been pretty high so I was praying I wasn't going to have too many burn issues.

At cold the aroma wasn't very strong. What aroma there was it was quite deep and rich.

Initial thoughts: The first few draws I couldn't pick up too many flavours. It was pleasant but no particular flavours were standing out.

First third: I was getting dark chocolate notes mixed with coffee. Again, the flavours weren't too intense and I was starting to get worried that I wasn't going to enjoy this stick.

Second third: Flavours really started to ramp up. This stick just came to life. I was getting the dark chocolate and rich coffee taste. Reminded me of sitting at a cafe with an espresso and a dark chocolate brownie although with less sweetness.

Final third: Again the flavours just keep becoming more intense. The chocolate developed a toasted nut taste. The retrohale was very smooth. Usually when I retrohale it is quite peppery but this was just smooth and creamy. I also started to get some sweetness. This was most noticeable on my lips in between draws.

I must admit I did get quite lost from about the half way point as I was just enjoying he cigar so much. I was in my own little world.

I will add that despite the rain and high humidity the burn was fantastic. When it became uneven if corrected itself and I didn't need to relight or touch up at all. Very surprising. Great construction.

I'm probably a bit too much of a newbie to give a rating because I haven't tried enough. However, this cigar was fantastic and I can't wait to go through the remaining 9 that I have.

I want to revisit these after I have tasted many other cigars so that hopefully my palate is more sophisticated and I can pick up more flavours and complexity.

Overall, a great cigar. I know some people didn't care for the maduro line at all but I am very happy with this one.

Hope my review is ok and any tips or pointers from more seasoned smokers would be appreciated.
