Last year by this time I had already ordered a couple boxes of both Monti 2's n PSD4 HQ or PSP 14 boxes but have yet to see Rob list any 15's of either. Just curious why this is? Could it be 14 was such good vintage or is 15 not as good or a smaller crop? Love to hear some thoughts from Rob n any folks in the know. Thanks!

This may not help with the answer exactly but it's some info with the crops.

Speaking with Hirochi Robaina in person confirmed what we had been hearing that the 12-13 and 13-14 crops were not as successful as previous years due to excessive rain (less sunshine which hurts wrapper more because they are grown under shade as it is). However the 14-15 crop was much better according to him and he was happy with it.

Have seen some excellent 15's in some things. Not too much in many others, D4/M2 included. A little too early to tell.

bbguardsp's post is spot on.

bbguardsp brings up another interesting point, how long does it take from crops to rolled n boxed? Also how long are the leaves typically aged/dried out in the sheds before shipped to the factories to be rolled and packaged up?

I read somewhere there is a drought in Cuba atm, which will affect the 2015 harvest?

They haven't planted yet. Commence November.

If there ends up being a drought during the growing season that would actually contribute to the crop because more sunshine is present and the farmers can control the water irrigation supplied to the fields on a mathematical level. As long they have a good water supply it's a great thing.
