ElPuro
I know that most folks recommend going with coolerdors or wineadors for long-term storage because of the price relative to cabinets. I have two 120-count desktops that are nearing capacity, and was debating how to proceed. Ended up with this! http://www.cigarbid.com/Auction/Lot/2083757/Montegue-End-Table-Humidor-1500-Capacity/ Retail is $500+. I think it worked out to be a great deal - I do not need to pay for shipping as the warehouse is within driving distance. My wife even liked the idea since it doubles as an end table and "seems" rather stylish. Reviews on it are excellent, and I couldn't justify spending more on an Aristocrat or other model. The biggest problem is a newfound need to buy more sticks to stock it. With only about 200 on hand right now, I'm a bit shy of the 1500 capacity! Hoping it will hold RH OK even if only partially full.
cigarbreak
Congrats! you can tell your wife it the cabinet a "work in progress" every time you buy to fill it up hahah
ElPuro
LOL. I was shocked when she was relatively OK with the purchase. I did the old "You're going to be mad at me, but..." to disclose it. Figured there was no hiding a new piece of furniture with locks on it.

stogieluver
Filling it up is the really fun (and expensive) part! Enjoy. I know you already are. Great find.

ElPuro
Your reluctance to consider an Aristocrat leads me to believe that you've never heard, or don't believe the expression "You get what you pay for". I'd recommend that you solicit feedback from owners of the cabinets in question. I bet that you find a vast disparity in satisfaction levels. It never ceases to amaze me that folks choose to "save" a few hundred dollars when considering storage of a product that they spend thousands on. Just a thought I am with you there except this piece tends to get great reviews. I am sure aristocrats are very nice, and would love to own one, but I am hopeful this will get me through for some years at a lower price point. I believe aristocrats sell for multiples of what I will be paying, and my wife would kill me if I spent that much on a cabinet when she wants new furniture for elsewhere in our house. I scored a great aristocrat used off craigslist for 1/3 the new price. I used uship.com to find someone to deliver for another $200. Added new humidifier for another $250 and still less than 50% new. I still have the old Montague type quality humidor and will probably have to give the thing away to get rid of it.
