Thanks for sharing. I just read through the Abandoned Sites feature. That kind of stuff fascinates me. Seems pretty dumb to take the risks he did, but it made for a very interesting piece. He's lucky he didn't end up in a gulag or something.

It's harder than you'd think for a tourist to end up in jail in Cuba. Though don't go trying to prove me wrong..

If you like that stuff specifically, there's a very good podcast on design called 99% Invisible.

They often do bits about abandoned architecture.

Here's one specifically on the International Art School dreamt up by Castro and Guevara when they played golf that time. It's brilliant. Worth a listen.
