Squarehead Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 For those of us old enough to remember James Last, one of the last Big Band Leaders has passed away at age 86 in Florida. His orchestra was electrifying and his music was a must at parties. One could not sit still when you listen to that music.I was lucky enough to see him play at the C.N.E.(Canadian National Exhibition)in Toronto in the early 70's.R.I.P. James
Sophistic Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 RIP but his talent was transforming music into something that people, who actually hate music, like.
Ken Gargett Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 i saw the headline and thought i wonder who that is. can't be that trumpet bloke. he must have died many years ago. he was quite popular out here. RIP.
Perla Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 R.I.P. James When I was a kid he was on the Saturday TV Shows and I didn't like him very much. He was a great musician
Ken Gargett Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 RIP - I think he was mostly a German phenomenon. turns out he was german. i had no idea. originally hans last.
Squarehead Posted June 11, 2015 Author Posted June 11, 2015 His predeceased Brother went by the name of Kay Warner and was also a Bandleader but not as popular as James.
