groundhog Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 These sticks got me thinking - especially in light of recent discussions regarding brand profile, box codes and so on. http://www.habanos.com/article.aspx?aid=87&type=2〈=en So five robustos, two of which are not normal production robustos. These boxes have a box code - but does that mean that was the factory they were boxed in, after they'd been made elsewhere? Or does that mean they were all made and boxed in the same factory? Does it make a mockery of box code hunting? Or brand profiles? Just seems very odd. My taste buds are inept, so there'd be no point me doing a blind tasting. But it would be interesting if someone were to do it - Would they be able to tell any significant differences between these sticks? If so, would the sticks themselves match the brand profiles?

I am not a huge fan of this offering. The quality was generally poor to average and they tasted much the same way. It would be a safe bet to say that the cigars were from that year of release. You are far better to get some good quality singles of each if you are looking for a fair representation of how each tastes. As a gift however to someone who doesn't smoke a lot of cigars, they hit the mark. 1
PuffDaddie Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 Listen to Rob the man knows what he is talking about. 1
Lotusguy Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 The cedar taste of these after a few years in that packaging is overwhelming. In that respect, they all taste alike.
