TonyAccardo Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Sorry to hear. Have lost a few friends over the last 7 years. South Florida is a dangerous place to ride a bike. You wouldn't think it as it is flat as glass but with all the senior citizens on the road it is a crap show. Yes this 1000%^^^^^^^^^^^^. I had a Harley Dyna Glide and sold it in 2013 after having bikes for years. After living in S Florida for a few years I realized the percentage of morons down here is overwhelming. It's not only old folks but younger GenX idiots who are glued to their phones and think it's more important to text and talk and look at their phones than it is to actually pay attention to the task you're doing at hand. I had a friend die on his GSXR750 back in 2012 on an offramp off of I95. Not only did I sell my bike, but I don't drive my car unless I absolutely have to. I can't stand driving down here in S Florida.
OZCUBAN Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 So sorry to hear of your loss my condolences to the family ,this is the very reason I have never ridden a motor bike just to dangerous on the roads nowadays and I am bad enough in a car speed wise that is
AndrewNR Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 Sorry to hear, My riding has taken a different direction and pace since I started a young family. Sportsbike has been under the tarp for 6 months and will likely be there for a few years, Older bikes are all currently taking turns getting final touches put on them and things I can't do for safety when money allows. I'm a weekend and vintage club rider only lately. Maybe when the weather warms up and the chops back together I'll start commuting a little between that and a little road bike.. We'll see
