Mycroft Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 A question for the host. I see all these fine looking cigars with personal recommendations on the 24;24s,but what happens to boxes on the other end of the bell-curve? And what do you do with the rest when only part of a box is top notch, or when you're making a sample and the last couple of sticks aren't up to scratch. 1

As for samplers, We put them in the seconds bin if need to.
teamrandr Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 They should be taken out back and shot. Just kidding bottom line is we are fortunate to have Pres select the best and reject the rest. 1

Mycroft Posted May 22, 2015 Author Posted May 22, 2015 ... bottom line is we are fortunate to have Pres select the best and reject the rest. You can say that again. But this really intrigues me. Who ends up with the 'wholesaled out' boxes, and don't they get totally passed off. If this is getting too close to trade secrets please just delete the post.

If this is getting too close to trade secrets please just delete the post. Plenty of clubs, Hotels, liquor shops (hundreds of them) don't care as long as the price is right. Their trade is singles buyers. We also run a big trade in seconds through the store. Local members pick up broken cigars, ugly cigars etc at steep discounts. Ugly boxes are perfect for a bucs party when you are paying 1/2 normal RRP. There is always a market for everything 1
Ken Gargett Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 and yet you sold me those monte C's! on the positive side, an occasional mixed bag of samplers and seconds has usually provided excellent smoking.
