Monday morning I was enjoying my morning coffee with my fellow work associates ( at Mickey D's ) when a stranger approach our table and asked if any of us enjoyed Cuban cigars. Being the only one at the table that partakes in the enjoyment of the sacred leaf I stepped right up. The man laid down 5 premium Monte #4's in front of me and told me to enjoy. I asked why he was being so generous when he told me his tale of woe.

The MacDonalds that we were having our coffee at is right next to the Ambassador Bridge ( In Windsor) that crosses into the United States. Apparently the gentleman thought that all the restrictions on bringing Cuban cigars had been lifted. So when he crossed the bridge into the U.S. he was turned back for trying to enter the country with banned goods. So he returned back into Canada to get rid of the goods and then attempted to go back over into the United States. The Macdonalds I was having coffee at sits right off the exit from the Ambassador bridge. So not wanting to waste the cigars the gentleman wanted to pass them on to someone who would appreciate them ( Me). So in essence it was may lucky day.

Awesome gift, feel bad to see him have to give up those cigars though!

Wow, great unselfish gesture on his part!

Somehow, given the situation, I can't get the image of me sitting somewhere along the waters edge(Canuck side) CHAIN smoking the CRAP out of some premium monti#4sneaky.giflmao.gif

I'm pretty sure I'd just stay in Canada until I was done smoking them. Can you smoke in the casino in Windsor? It's been years since I've been up there. Or more likely I'd just head for the tunnel and not declare the cigars.

Take the bands off and hope that the sniffer dog doesn't believe in regional profiles?

Great gesture from the guy though, finding them a happy home
