So, I'm planning on heading up to Toronto for my birthday in July. Even though it's a few months away, I'm looking in advance for places to go, lounges and stores to check out, and just anything else that I need to see while I'm there.

There are no cigar lounges in Toronto due to the nanny state laws that we have here in the city. There is a LCDH in yorkville. I work there from time to time so feel free to drop me a line on your dates and I can show you around the store.

I was definitely planning on hitting up the LCDH. It'll be the weekend around July 30th. I'm looking for stores that I can search singles, maybe find some nice stuff, maybe a box or two.

Whoa. What happened? I thought that patio was exempt due to not being licensed for food or drink? Did they clamp down on the "9 meters to entrance" rule?

Yes 9 Metre rule now being enforced. Some people complained and now we have to strictly enforce it.

Tell your customers to smoke on the sidewalk. Specifically in front of the businesses that complained. That's public property.

Very harsh. It's the same in my province, although there are a few patios at pubs that still allow smoking! But no indoor lounges to get us through the great winter of the North....

Very true! I went last year was a great time. I can't get the day off from work this year unfortunately.
