My thoughts are with you mate, it's a hard pill to swallow but you clearly gave Athena a good life and truly cared. Losing a family member is a terrible part of life, I only hope you focus on the good memories to help ease the pain of losing Athena.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Our dogs are my wife and I's best friends. They sleep in bed with us. I can't even fathom the devastation we'd feel if something so sudden were to happen to one of them. Our hearts truly go out to you, and we hope soon your grief will turn to peace, and the memories and the bond you have with Athena will lift you up. She's beautiful, and I hope you can find solace in a great life lived to the fullest.

Dude ! That just broke my heart ! Those puppies can be like children . I'm so sorry for your lose . I myself growing up on a farm as a child was raised hard and sometimes DAD would have me put down a family pet myself that sucked and I cried every time.again sorry brother !

So very, very sorry for your loss...I have been through similar situations with my dogs in the past, myself and it is so, so terrible...We have two German Shepherds here, ourselves, and when I saw that picture of you with the two of yours my eyes filled with tears for you. I'm very sorry to hear this sad news. I have 3 dogs myself, and recently lost one. On a walk he had a heart attach and dropped, it happened in the blink of an eye, so i can relate to how you're feeling! Dogs are truly a mans best friend...
