airtrade Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 ERDM Choix Supreme EML FEB 14 First Attempt at a review. This Choix Supreme is from a HQ box I split with a fellow BOTL. It is the third or fourth ERDM I have had and the first of this lot. I am drinking my usual Coke Zero along with this. Well here goes nothing! Pre Light: Looks great a nice walnut brown wrapper. Feels good well packed and a slight give. Smells wonderful with a rich mocha coffee scent. Punched the cap maybe a 5mm hole. Draw seems perfect not too loose or tight Tastes of chocolate and some hay? First third: Fired right up with cocoa latte flavor some cream to it also. The burn got a bit crooked but self corrected. A nice gray and black ash. Great volume of smoke! A solid med strength cigar right now. Second third: The flavors more cream and coffee still some chocolate. Very smooth! held for an inch and half when of course it fell on my leg as I moved to tap it off! Final third: Coffee and cream has come to the forefront, a little more strength to it now but still no harshness. Burned it down to a fairly small nub, for me anyway. Smoke for about an hour and fifteen mins.Let it go when the harsh any heat began to creep in! Final Thoughts: I Like It! Look forward to the other 9 I have of these. Wouldn't mind more. Seems like a lot of the same flavors but they did change in intensity throughout the cigar. As stated this is my first review and I have only had CCs for about a year now. I have smoked NC for 12 or so. My writing skills and pallet are limited so I hope you made It too the end. Let me know any criticism is welcomed! Stefan
dflan82 Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 Nice review Stefan...Glad to hear that you liked these. I'm in the same boat as you in terms of CC's so always great to hear the opinions of other recovering NC smokers! LOL 1
FLB03TT Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 Good 1st review. Be careful when buying these blind as pale wrappers are very common and greatly detract from our smoking pleasure. Either inspect box before purchasing or let Rob pick one for you. 1
JohnS Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 Congratulations on your first review, Stefan. You are spot on in detecting those slightly sweet and delicate flavours, you've picked up similar notes to these reviews below. Well done! http://www.friendsofhabanos.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=121314 http://www.friendsofhabanos.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=117300 2
airtrade Posted April 7, 2015 Author Posted April 7, 2015 Good 1st review. Be careful when buying these blind as pale wrappers are very common and greatly detract from our smoking pleasure. Either inspect box before purchasing or let Rob pick one for you. This is true. The others I have had were not as dark a wrapper and were not nearly as enjoyable to me.
stunod Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Stefan, great review. Heck of a lot better than mine. Nice pics too. 1

Homebrew Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 In my opinion, one of the most underrated Robustos out there. Great review, of a great cigar. Dave (A.K.A. Homebrew) 1
