Off topic. I also ordered the new to habanos sampler to try some new sticks. How long should I let them sit before I start testing these?

I would wait about 30 days. I got the robusto and Churchill scamplers. Another suggestion, put them somewhere in your humidor where you can't see them. I have them in the top draw of my humi and it's killing me. Every time I go for a stick I am tempted to grab one.

I know what you mean. I haven't had any CC in my humidor in awhile so this sampler will be hard to ignore. I can't wait to get it though because I am very new to this side of the cigar spectrum. I have a special spot for them in the humidor until the weather warms up which should give them more than 30 days to rest.

Great advice. I would also stay away from this forum for the same period of time :). We have a bunch of enables here.

When I joined, I ordered a custom sampler from Rob, and hung around the forum while the order was processed, shipped and delivered. I learned a great deal from the vast CC, and cigars in general, knowledge pool here, BUT..... by the time my order arrived, I managed to purchase 4 boxes out of six cigars in the sampler!

Haha I have two boxes of NCs in my wineador right now and roughly 75 cigars in my desktop humidor. I have three boxes in process from Prez. I'm placing my order with Forest today but I'm stumped on what to get exactly.

I'm thinking either three drawers (one being a false front) and two shelves or two drawers and three shelves.

How many cigars can the each of the drawers for the Newair 180 hold?

if you buy more singles than boxes i would get drawers, if you buy more boxes than singles then i would one or two shelves to sit the boxes on.

oh, and that 180 is going to fill up quickly.

My AW-181 drawers hold around 40-45 cigars each. You could probably get another 5 in depending on how you line things up, but if I were you I'd assume 45 the max. I have 4 drawers (one false front) and one shelf which works pretty well. I'm able to fit a box on top with two mesh bags of my beads.

Yeah I know but one thing going for me is my money. I don't have the spending ability that some people have on here ?. At most I'll probably have 6 boxes in it before summer if I'm lucky

Here's my drawer setup as we'll as a pic of the inside of one of my drawers. I was a able to fit around 43 sticks with room for 5-6 more. I've found if you overfill the drawers it messes with air circulation.

I thought about the 180 too at first and ultimately went with the pre-assembled cc-300 complete with 2 drawers and 4 shelves. Based on what I've gotten into here, I will probably pull a drawer, spread out the four shelves and hope I can make it a year or two on that much room. Fiancé and I are going to remodel the house, I'm honestly contemplating having a small cigar closet built. You have been warned.

Well hopefully the 180 lasts me until I graduate this December. New career will definitely feed me addiction.

I have the 280 and drawers from a guy named John

Email him at [email protected]b6cded0b5858772eb4d6451c53236095.jpg4a4257b231ed7fdcc4b50b614738e591.jpg

I recommend John too. here's the thread that convinced me.

Get your Shelves and Drawers here! http://www.botl.org/threads/get-your-shelves-and-drawers-here.75090/

His quality is top notch. he also doesn't take on more than he can handle. I should be receiving my set this week. I ordered back at the very end of January, and have had constant updates from John about how it's looking and progress. He doesn't seem to do more than 4 orders at a time and the. Has a waiting list, which is fine, allows him to concentrate on quality.

Will post pics when I get them.

You would be pretty lucky to get it within the quoted 5 weeks.

Last I head was at least 6 months.
