Franko Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Well i was thinking to get me a box of ryj belicosos, i had one in havana from 14... And love it, now i Mait change my mind and get a box of #4... Any toughst on difference from both?? Somebody!
Geo17pip Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Thanks Quint for the info and Dan for posting this. Now if you only had room for one box given that both these cigars are smoking so well from everyone’s experience. Would you rather spring for a box of the RYJ #4 or the JL#2? Are they similar, are they different?

Smallclub Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 that old school type of habano that people are mentioning it is. Is it any similar to the Cazadores? The Exhib4 is not really an "old style" habanos, but the Cazadore with its rusticity and its spicy notes might be seen as such. 1
rmill3r Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 To me the first thing I notice is how dense and thick the smoke is;incredibly heavy and velvety. Flavour wise, to me they are of the fermented fruit, tarry/sticky sweet (But not abundantly sweet) side of the ryj spectrum, none of that herbal and vegetal nature from the other extreme. Kind of like a sticky date, overripe plum fruitiness. I'm impatiently waiting on my box atm, and your synopsis has got me drooling...

JohnS Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Any chance of seeing more in the near future? The main thing to comprehend is not whether we will see more, but rather the fact that when this comes up on a 24:24 sale to get in because realistically speaking you may only have 10 to 15 minutes until all sold out. This and CoRo's are really smoking well at the moment, but hang in there, in 2015 El Pres could find another marca that is smoking well and you'll find that we'll all want to sample that cigar (when it comes)!

I dropped the ball when they were up. Could have gotten in as I was 2 minutes after it posted. Debated for a while and by the time I decided I should try them.... Gone

Debated for a while and by the time I decided I should try them.... Gone I sympathise and do respect how you feel. I've lucked out badly with RyJ in the past, but I was elated to pick these up, together with a sample six-pack of RyJ Churchills a few months ago. It's making me appreciate RyJ again!
oliverdst Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 So the day before yesterday I had one from POU NOV 12. I confess it didn't smoke as well as before. Maybe sick period? Anyone else had this feeling with older boxes than POU JUN 13? I will have another one today or tomorrow. Don't get me wrong, still a very good cigar.
Misterblue Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 Agree on the pou nov 12...had one about a month ago and not as good as 7 months ago (dynamite)...not necessarily bad for me, just not as good...maybe it was just the day...
JC67 Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 I was lucky enough to pick up one of thes It is a lovely cigar but I have had just as lovely connive 1's VR Famosos and D4s too It is about the whole experience, The time to reflect, the wine that accompanies it, the food you have eaten.... They are good but there are many very good cigars out there, so if you did t pick one up, don't worry too much about it, just enjoy the ones you have ?
