El Presidente
The article is mostly speculation but interesting enough. On one level I love the fact that when in Cuba I ignore net time. Trying to hunt down consistent quality internet in Cuba is frustrating to say the least so I don't bother. However if decent WIFI was available, I would spend three weeks there at a time. Currently I limit it to 10 days as I still need to work and stay in touch. I hope that this particular phase of opening up Cuba happens sooner rather than later. I know that my friends living there hope for the same! http://qz.com/354110/how-google-can-make-cubas-web-truly-worldwide/
free85
I am of the opinion that the internet has so much potential, and makes so much available to a peoples, that access to functional internet should be considered a human right. Not saying it should be considered above clean water or access to food. It's certainly further down on "the list", but it's on there.
SCgarman
Cuba is number 1 in the world for the least amount of internet access. As long as the current regime there is in power, unfortunately this fact won't change. Internet=information. Information=Freedom. Freedom=A threat to the establishment.
