JohnS Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 John, how was the punch instead of a cut for that ring guage? I'll punch my cigars that are a 46 ring gauge and under and v-cut above this. You can't see the v-cut in the photo but the draw was fine. I prefer this cut as I like to concentrate the cigar smoke in my mouth and not on my tongue. The drawback to the v-cut is that it can get tar buildup and moisten if you draw too fast on the cigar....I tend to smoke too quickly, especially when I am enjoying it so there's another reason why I go for it! If I had a large punch cutter, I think I would have been okay with it on this 54 ring gauge cigar. I've not had a large size cigar like this taste so mild and smooth, I'm used to them being strong-flavoured and more full-bodied.
bbguardsp Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 My palatte was left completely clean, yet I savoured the flavour for hours afterwards. 2015-03-22 16.25.40.jpg 2015-03-22 16.36.08.jpg 2015-03-22 16.50.45.jpg thats one thing I noticed. A finish that lasted a loooooong time. 1
