CoCigarSmoker Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Well boys and girls, I'm officially all packed for a week long trip ice climbing in the rocky mountains. Sorry not heading to any islands; trust me the wife isn't too excited about it either! Due to the CC's just recently hitting my humidor I'm going to leave them home so I don't risk not giving them enough time to rest after their long journey. However, I got a couple pipes, three kinds of local pipe tobacco and a good array of NC sticks. I like to think of myself as an extreme cigar smoker at times hahaha. Wishing you guys well while I'm gone, and hopefully I'll return with some pictures from the trip and minimal injuries lol. Cheers, Seth
madandana Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Well, have fun. I'm gettting ready to head off to an Island. That's my idea of a vacay but to each his own. Guck luck! Dress warm:) 1
bradbrennan Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Sounds exciting! I'm heading to Minneapolis for a lot of cigar bar smoking as we don't have any. I don't baby those cc's, smoke them right off the truck, frozen, whatever it takes... I'll be hauling plenty along!
moryc Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Sounds fun enjoy yourself. I am heading ice fishing tomorrow for the wedding along with a crew of 12. This our annual trip with the boys. We have two ice bungalows so sleeping on the ice all weekend. One of the guys brings a satellite dish, generator, projector and a screen. The result is of course the hockey game on Saturday night. Full travel humidor is coming along as well. No cubans are coming along though, just the nicaraguans and the dominicans. Photo from last year.

beparrish Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Packing cigars for vacation is pretty damn exciting in itself !! I just got done packing last night for a week in Florida. Us cigar smokers put a lot of effort into this type of planning - when will we have chances to smoke, how long will those opportunities be (PC or Churchill), etc... I always pack waaaaaaaay too many cigars, but it's best to be prepared for all reasonable occasions. I believe I have 35 cigars packed for an 8 day trip, and that may not be enough. I may throw a few more in the travel humi when I get home !
CoCigarSmoker Posted February 5, 2015 Author Posted February 5, 2015 Just a few pictures from the trip. I'm glad I didn't bring any CC's, the weather, temps, and attitude was making for a very difficult light and draw. But alas, even a cheap cigar in a hot tub after a hard days work is a sweet reward. Notice the essentials, water for hydration....cheap watered down beer for hydration and a lil buzz, and of course a cigar! Brought the pipe along too for those times when I just didn't have 1-2 hrs to devote to a cigar. Here's a couple pictures of some of the ice....look hard at the little spec towards the bottom, that's me. The second picture is zoomed in a bit more. All in all it was a great trip, lots of ice climbed and about 5 cigars smoked from the comfort of the hot tub. Cheers, Seth 1
... Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Nice! Great ice formation, looks like it was fun to climb
cigarbreak Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Awesome. Thanks for sharing. Would love to experience this one day
Mr.T Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Very cool. Thanks for sharing. I still can't get over the guy that ice climbed Niagara Falls the other week - amazing stuff Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
CoCigarSmoker Posted February 5, 2015 Author Posted February 5, 2015 Yea, Niagara Falls would be amazing, very cool accomplishment for sure. Thanks for the kind words guys, it was a great vacation although very labor intensive. Seth
headstand Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Cool pics Seth. Glad you're back safe - tricky stuff that. Can relate on the marital negotiations required for this type of outing. Just got back from 6 days of skiing with some buddies. There is always a price to pay no matter how supportive my wife claims to be
saintsmokealot Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 cool stuff man glad you had a good time!
