Just got over the flu after battling it for 5 days. Not a big deal but now I have lost the taste of cigars.

I lost the taste in cigars. I have tried a couple different Cubans and NC but they taste the same, just blah.....

What the hell had happened to my taste buds. Food taste good but cigars just have no taste to them! !!!!!

Hopefully someone out there can tell me what is going on with my taste buds!!!! PLEASE

I suspect it's not your taste buds and more your olfactory system which has not fully recovered from the infection

I sure hope it does. I have a couple cigars that were given to me that I want to smoke with my dad and soon. He is stage 4 liver cancer and I received these 2 CC from another BOTL on a different forum and they are both well aged so I want to enjoy them with my father. Being laid off has hit the humidor hard and I want my dad to enjoy these 2 with me as my humidor is empty except for a couple that were sent to me.....

Thanks for the responses

Mike smoke the cigar with your dad. There is a lot than just the cigar.... I pray he is not in pain and still able to enjoy.

Regards.

Thanks for the prayers. His pain seems to be pretty good considering all he had been through. I will be enjoying the cigars with my dad whether I have my taste back or not. I told him that I would have a couple awesome cigars to enjoy with him on Thanksgiving.

After dinner the 2 of us are taking a road trip together so we can enjoy the cigars and some good quality family time just the 2 of us. It will be one of the best Thanksgivings ever.

Thanks

My last infection was pretty serious. Took me 3 weeks of sickness then another 2 to fully recover. So only advise to give it a time.

I been sick myself, no cigar in a week. Friday at work a co worker was puffing away, good grief did that cigar smell awful ! My sense of smell was completely shot at that point.

Now I'm just finally getting it back, I'll give it at least another week before I light up.

Don't worry about jumping back in, your cigars won't go bad.
