Not at all. It's a course over about a week, taught by someone from your regional importer. H&F does it a lot in the UK.

I think there is something about it on HSA web site, I must check.

The one I am doing is a 2 day event, which leads me to believe it's not as in depth as the H & F ones.

It has started in the UK, organised by Hunters and Frankau.

Multiple choice questions.

In the UK version of the test at least, all the questions are based on information in this book.

http://www.amazon.com/WORLD-HABANO-ESSENTIAL-BOOK-ENTHUSIASTS/dp/B00BNX6GRO

So get that book, have a good read of it, know it and you should be set.

The one sample question I remember is

"Which leaf, currently used in Habanos cigar production, has the most strength?"

A. Volado

B. Seco

C. Ligero

D. Medio Tiempo

Edit: Now that I look at it, the Hunter's program might be a separate thing. They run a "Master of Habanos Cigars" program based on that book.

So you can probably ignore everything I wrote!

Best of luck! smile.png

Ahah - appreciated anyway :)

It's an accreditation course where you learn some more specific details about viola's, the production process, the factories and the distribution. They also give courses in Cuba.

Invite only, or can you apply for these courses in Europe?
