tjohn7 Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 I don't know how many of you are baseball fans, but tonight marks the start of the postseason. I'm very excited as my Detroit Tigers clinched their fourth consecutive division championship. Tonight has the Royals v. A's at 8:07. Who you got in this one? I'm going Royals 3-2. Tom 1
Lant63 Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 I like the Tigers chances to reach the WS.
tjohn7 Posted September 30, 2014 Author Posted September 30, 2014 I like the Tigers chances to reach the WS. I'm with you. Tough road to get back to the playoffs, but they have matched up well with the Orioles. ALCS is always a crapshoot. They have the best road, they just have to win some games.
tjohn7 Posted September 30, 2014 Author Posted September 30, 2014 Long shot, but LET"S GO BUCS. Stranger things have happened. Beat those damn Giants tonight!
brutusthebuckeye Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 I'm rooting for the Royals...If my Tribe could field ground balls and had a legit 4 hitter maybe we wld b playing in Oct...
riazp Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 rooting for KC in this one, would be fun to see them play a full series
shlomo Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 I'll be rooting for all the secondary teams. Or teams that haven't won in a while. No Tigers, no Angels, no Giants, no Cardinals. Go Royal, Bucs, Dodgers, Orioles!!! F you Nationals. 1
Cmontoya79 Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 We got our monies worth. Sad the A's couldn't hold on and win. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

We've been suffering for a generation. Sure we've won the division for four years, but no championships. This is the last year for a while, unless Dombrowski pulls off some monster moves in the offseason/JV returns to form in 2015 1

Sent by telepathic super powers -Stogie Boy Oh I know. Scherzer is gone for sure. Who knows what the bullpen is like. They have to get V-Mart again, otherwise Miggy is completely unprotected and his numbers will suffer. I was really hoping they'd pick up that Cuban that Boston got. He would have been a great long-term prospect. I don't think we're gonna be cellar-dwellers anytime soon, just no more consecutive trips to the ALCS (after this year of course!) 1
tjohn7 Posted October 1, 2014 Author Posted October 1, 2014 Who do you guys have tonight? I have the Pirates 5-3 over the Giants.
riazp Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 rooting for the Bucs in this one, would like to see them go far. Cutch is one of my favorite ball players atm, just a pleasure to watch out there 1

Cutch is one of my favorite ball players atm, just a pleasure to watch out there I agree. He's the main reason I'm rooting for the Bucs. Too bad that grand slam seems to have put them out of it. Maybe they can pull a KC and turn it around!

Sent by telepathic super powers -Stogie Boy Your right, but they had their chances twice recently. I'm just tired of seeing the same team's year after year is all. And I have been an Indians fan since Albert/Joey Belle was mashing, and even before that because of Pedro Cerrano and his live chicken sacrifices. Plus, it's a really great park, much better than the old dump. Not as great as Pittsburgh, but still fantastic. 1

Hell yea Shlo...the Pedro Cerrano blast..lol..you get major bonus points...I got to see Joey Belle,Thome and Manny play double A ball 15 minutes from my house at Thurman Munson Stadium in Canton,Ohio...and I loved that old dump of a stadium in Cleveland...me and my dad watched Nolan Ryan pitch his last game in Cleveland in 93 in that stadium...53,000 people showed up that day...the day before they prolly had 7,000 people in the stands...lol 1
