Thanks to you El Pres for this contest.

This is now my third box of Edmundos and while the flavor seems to be hit or miss, when they're on I very much do enjoy the smoke. Fortunately, this cigar was on.

The construction was decent, some soft spots which casted doubts on how evenly it will burn. To my surprise the burn was pretty decent not requiring any touch ups and remained sharp. I was putzing around the patio so there were moments where I left the cigar for a few minutes and it remained lit. When they're too loose I can loose the flame in under a minute, the cigar just goes out!

Opening: Bang! Favorite part of this and most cigars. Complexity is high and flavors are abundant. Salty dryness is brought to the lips and palette, followed by medium bodied powered dark chocolate, long thick and heavy finish of very sweet burnt vanilla bean.

1/3: Most of the opening flavors are there, but greatly diminished. Much like light coffee & cream.

2/3: Taste has kind of gone bitter and hot. I decided to give it a purge and short rest. After which, the light coffee & cream has developed a small bit of the burt sweet vanilla bean finish

3/3: It's hot, thick, and heavy, almost sour now. Newness is showing itself and the cigar is past it's prime and ready to be set down. This Edmundo didn't get smoked past it's band.

Love that pic! I have to revisit the Edmundo's but I'm always sidetracked by others when choosing my Monte's.

Great review and photo. Matthew smoked a new one today and had the same comments. Very nice but will have to be put away for a while and revisited in a few months plus.
