Lotusguy Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 Estanc Duaso Off the beaten path. Good selection. +100
pinotguy Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 I just returned from Spain earlier this month. Spent a day+ in Barcelona and, while I didn't have enough time to get to all of the Estancos I had hoped, I did find a very nice one - Cava Guerrero. On the smaller side of things, selection wise, but a very well maintained walk-in humidor and I found the proprietor to be very accommodating and knowledgeable. (He actually prefers Nicaraguan cigars.) Not sure what part of the city you'll be staying in but this was within walking distance of the Hotel Melia, where our group was booked. Picked up a box of the PL Secretos and some singles there at very reasonable prices. In addition to those, he had Boli 108's, the Diplo RE, and a fair number of LE's. Picked up a Trinidad Robusto Extra from the Vintage Coleccion Jar. Eager to try this but am letting it rest for a while longer. The other really cool Estanco I visited is in Segovia. Picked up singles of the earlier Spanish RE's there. Really wanted to find the SP Quijote but these seem to have sold through now. I don't believe there are any LCdH's in Spain. Something to do with the regulations their gov't has in place on tobacco.
