Guest Robo Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 So, we spent the week of March 30 in Varadero, Cuba on a family vacation. I visited all 3 LCDH in Varadero and the most enjoyable for me, by far, was the LCDH at Calle 39. Friendly staff, you can smoke in the shop, they opened the boxes for me, and no rip offs. I found out later that the LCDH on Calle 63 overcharged me by CUC50, has that happened to anyone before?? I know, I should know better, but WTF? Anyway, a thoroughly enjoyable vacation that unfortunately ended too soon. Regards, Rob Beautiful weather and beaches. Max and me enjoying an Epicure #1 at the LCDH in Plaza Americas. dvickery Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 cigar store at playa y 32 is small ... but by a quantum level my favorite store in vara . obscure sizes & brands ... some older boxes to ... same old cohibas or monty's or ryj's as anywhere else in cuba tho . some 14 year old des dieux the last time i was there (last may) . derrek

MrGinger Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 Calle 63 is a joke. The staff are miserable *******, and they always try to scam you. I have been there numerous times since 1998, but my last visit in 2013, I will never go back.
