CaptainQuintero Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Sad but can't blame them. If you slap someone in the face enough times they are eventually either going to sock you one in the teeth or leave. Sorry for the workers and their families who don't have a paycheck now Bullies don't usually stop until they are given the former though... 1
BigBruce Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 I don't blame Philip Morris but the Australians need to vote the politicians out of office!
El Presidente Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 I don't blame Philip Morris but the Australians need to vote the politicians out of office! Which ones? They are all supportive of the legislation.
Dimmers Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Come on people, lets not auto jump on the nanny state bandwagon, as is soo easily cried out these days (until someone is affected by some dumb act/omission that isn't legislated for). The company itself said that reduced-fire risk regulations introduced in 2010 - which require Australian-made cigarettes to self-extinguish if dropped or discarded - made it difficult to secure new export markets in the region. The regulations are a GOOD thing - protecting against bush fires, house fires etc.
