Hey I do Tomiki Aikido, just saw your bio! What style do you practise?

sorry back OT :S

They are pricey compared to other releases but tastes are personal so you might love them.

I think my main issue with them was the UK got three regionals in less than 12 months in the UK (Boli Brit, RA petit beli and the Punch), The Boli for me was terrible in both construction and blend (But I know others love it) the RA felt uninspired and the latter felt like it was just being made for the Olympics and the tourist money coming in. So it might just be those circumstances that made my view on them slanted.

I found them a little underwhelming but that was just my taste. I don't think there really is such a thing as a bad investment with cigars though, UK regionals will always get back their purchase price eventually.

Light one up, they should be coming into their own two years after rolling now!

OT: I do Iwama Style Aikido. My teachers were Tomita and Saito senseis. I like hardcore aikido. Lots of weapons practice and high breaking falls.

BTW there is a great sensei in Sydney named Takayasu sensei. Any of our OZ brothers indterested, you should seek him out.

Back to topic:

I will break the box open next week for the south Swedish herf. I was planning on trying them this summer. But what better time and place than an indoor herf in March?

For me, I think both Bolivar RE China are impossible to find now especially the RE 2008 for welcome Olympic.

Far from impossible. A jar was just posted here a few days ago.

I look for the RE 2008 for years, please PM me for detailed.

2008, if you find them from a private seller or auction they will run more than the cgr. Good luck.

I was referring to the 2010 distinguidos jar. Also Crazy priced, and not nearly as well received, but still mostly sold out, but certainly not impossible.

Yes at nearly two times the price it should be. And it was only one jar. I am guessing it came from a private collection as well.

Yes, yes and most likely. Still not impossible though! There are very few cigars that are impossible to find, and most of them are ones that are LONG gone.

So which RE that you think is hardest to find from online vendor, not private seller now? I think even London auction never have this one before, but CGR still available every once in a while.

Online vendors? Many are hard to find. Some recent ones are very hard to find online as well. Especially from countries that typically do not ship out. Online vendors are not the only place to buy REs from though. Worldwide LCDH locations as well as other authorized Habanos dealers have many as well. Not to mention being able to find many at auction.

The word I have a problem with is "impossible". Like I said, virtually no cigar is impossible to find or own as long as you have the dough...

Hardest to find from an online vendor? The list is super long. Some examples, RACF, La Esception, Punch Superfinos, VR (LGC) Marshal, Conde 109, RA Israel, France regionals, Boli 681, Boli DC 2007, PL RS, and on and on and on....

Received 5 Punch Platinos in the mail last week. Slowly looking to fill my 003/600 box. I think the box is the real rare item here lol.

I have some very interesting ones that may be around, like Israel, Northern Lights etc. My favorites are Canada, Belux/Benelux and Spain.

I would love to try Andorra, China and I think I saw a Russia?

The ones I seem to see most often are Switzerland and Asia Pacific.

Bolivar Simones (Canada RE).. Gone

Bolivar DC (Middle East RE).. Gone

Agreed with ChanceSchmerr and some others....Simones are still fairly easy to get ahold of, but you're paying higher Canadian prices. They're definitely one that's worth it, though.

For some reason I have not seen Simones anywhere. A few 5vers on a private site but they go instantly. If anyone knows a vendor that has them PM me.

As of late have not seen any RACF or Conde 109's from any online vendor.

LCDH in Canada. High pricing though, due to our taxes. But they are available.

PL Robustos are finally starting to disappear. Been grabbing a few boxes as I am not going to miss a run this time and if they don't fade at least I will have some great sticks.
