DrunkenMonkey Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 I just learned that Pete Seeger died. 94 years old. I loved that old man. I think he was a great man, for doing what he thought was right many many times, and for helping to remind America of its cultural heritage of folk songs. http://www.usatoday.com/story/life/music/2014/01/28/pete-seeger-obit-appreciation/4781403/ 1

Mr.T Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Left an indelible mark on the national consciousness with his song writing during difficult times......RIP
stargazer14 Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 I first met Pete when I was still in High School, he was a founding father of the Phila Folk Fest and I met him at my first attendance, he was kinda hero of mine and I still treasure my program he signed for me, we talked for a bit as I was just starting guitar and of course learned on his music, you could feel feel his honesty and warmth and it impressed me. Each year I would stop and say hello. He did have quite a life. 1
