DWC Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Hi. My name's Dan. and yeah, I'm from the heart of CT, tobacco valley. Shade and broadleaf fields all around me. I feel a little guilty about not supporting the local economy more, but not if it means smoking inferior cigars. ;-} I've been smoking for about 15 yrs. CC's for about 4, but got a lot more serious the last 2. My first CC was a Siglo I. Absolutely loved it. I never thought a cigar could be so nice, smooth, rich, sweet, captivating! So that got me off and running with the Cubans. I've since smoked my way thru about a half a dozen or so worth of boxes. (various marcas) so I'm not a complete novice but I'm still very new to all this. I came here to learn. I know only a little, so I hope you don't mind a lot of stupid newbie type questions from me from time to time. I still smoke NC's too. Not ready to give them up completely yet. There's a few I still really enjoy (LaPalina - El Diario, Oliva - Melanio, La Aroma de Cuba, Perdomo and CAO have some decent stuff too, to name a few). But my heart is with the CC's My preference is smaller ring gauges so I've been in heaven here finding others that smoke PC's panatelas etc Lots of great stuff to choose from too with the CC's. Seems everyone else in the US wants them big and fat. I just got my first cab of PLPC's (AME May'13) today that I bought on speculation from reading all the great things most people had to say about them here, and that prompted/motivated me to post an introduction. I couldn't wait. I had to try one now, smoking as I'm typing. Very nice! it suits my tastes just fine. I'm always looking for small, med. body smokes that have that nice sweetness to them. I just hope I can leave them alone till they get some time on them. Can't wait. Thank you all for the recommendation! I guess that's enough for now.. See ya in the forum. PS: As you can probably tell from my limited descriptions, I don't have that kind of a discerning palate some other folks seem to have been blessed with. But I look at it this way. I don't have to be able to pick out every subtle nuance of a smoke to know if I like it or not. so don't be looking to me for any reviews soon. Haha Dan aka DWC

He does not take any **** on this site so do yourself a favor and read the rules. I think I have been a member for about 2 years now but there are many other members that have much more time here than me. The people that helped you with your order are wonderful and the key to ordering is just relax and don't get pushy your order(s) will get to you. Rob is fair and honorable and he won't sell you **** smokes, he sells what he would smoke. By the way I also live in Ct not far from the elm city (New Haven). If you get a chance visit the "Owl Shop" in New Haven if you haven't yet. They will let you bring your own (CC's) smokes in just as long as you buy a drink or food. Anyway take care and happy hunting you can't go wrong here.
