Curious, but haven't you recommended cab RASS to others in the same boat?

Recommendations for PLPC 50-cabs make sense. Firstly, they're very reasonably priced for that amount of cigars. Secondly, if you want to try them, like it or not, that's the only packaging / size you can get them in (aside from obviously buying singles or trades). And lastly, if a person ends up not liking them, PLPC is a cigar that's very easily resold / traded away if need be, as there's tons of fans out there.

Keep hearing that PL requires age to really shine like cohiba - is this true for the plpc also? If it is, then makes sense to get the cab to try some now and put away the rest.

Pre-2008, they really seemed to need to have 3 years at least, and were stellar at 5. Since 2011 or so especially, it seems that these are pretty darn good ROTT, and take only about 9 months to a year to hit that flavour benchmark that used to be at 3 years, and then at 2 or 3 years, hit the older 5-year point. Very approachable young with recent cabs. 2012 and 2013 examples seem stellar.

Thank you - this is very useful to know. Will need to try some rott and see what it's like

I did just this recently. Boxes of unopened ERDM PCs, Corona Deluxe and Gran Coronas dating back to '03.

If this is the case I would suggest getting a couple different boxes instead of a cab. Easier to travel with also.;
