Ken Gargett
a must for lenny henry fans. late 80's, a mate in the UK recommended a movie called 'coast to coast'. could never find it then when backpacking asia, saw it was on at the british high commission in singapore so managed to get in. loved it. remember just about dancing down the streets after. so much fun. but never saw it again. could find no trace - i gather now that was because the soundtrack was too expensive with the royalities. friend recently gave me a link (not great quality but still really worth it). basically henry and an AWOL US pilot team up as DJ's for 60's soul music then get mixed up with gangsters and have to cross england (hence, 'coast to coast') with the gangsters and the police chasing them. some really funny stuff (at a wedding, who requests 'it should have been me'?). the soundtrack is senational. can't think of a better one. worth making the time. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qfWl0szzQJs
