wemann Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 The last couple of smokes I've had (varying marcas and vitolas) have smoked well for the first third then into the second and final third have been struck by the dreaded inward cone! Just wondering what you guys think. Is it due to: A) construction lighting technique Or C) smoking technique Would love to hear your thoughts! Cheers!
Guest rob Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 d) humidity. I agree.... But also add that sometimes tunneling can be had with cigar's rolled to loosely or under filled.
wemann Posted October 2, 2013 Author Posted October 2, 2013 d) humidity. Dah! Good one... Silly me! cigar humidity or ambient humidity, or both?
Guest rob Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 for sure, but not likely if it has happened to several cigars in a row True, good point.
sengjc Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 The torcedor could have put the volado leaves inside with the seco and ligero outside just for laughs.
Ginseng Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 Cigar overhumidified during storage or smoking in a high humidity environment (i.e., on your deck during a rainstorm, ask me how I know). Wilkey
GoJohnnyGo Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 Cigar overhumidified during storage or smoking in a high humidity environment (i.e., on your deck during a rainstorm, ask me how I know). Wilkey I also tend to notice this when smoking in a high humidity environment (everyday, where I live).
kuzi16 Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 its humidity and smoking style. if you find yourself smking very slowly then this will make the inward burn easier to happen.
Optic101 Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 Had a similar problem. Used to smoke my cigar right out of the winador. (18C/64%) Outside temp here is 28-30 C, humi around 70%. Trust the cold stick attracted to much HO2 .... Now I let it rest for a few hours inside the house. That help so far for my case.
