The last couple of smokes I've had (varying marcas and vitolas) have smoked well for the first third then into the second and final third have been struck by the dreaded inward cone! Just wondering what you guys think. Is it due to:

A) construction

B) lighting technique

Or

C) smoking technique

Would love to hear your thoughts! Cheers!

d) humidity.

I agree.... But also add that sometimes tunneling can be had with cigar's rolled to loosely or under filled.

for sure, but not likely if it has happened to several cigars in a row

True, good point.

Cigar overhumidified during storage or smoking in a high humidity environment (i.e., on your deck during a rainstorm, ask me how I know).

I also tend to notice this when smoking in a high humidity environment (everyday, where I live).

Had a similar problem.

Used to smoke my cigar right out of the winador. (18C/64%)

Outside temp here is 28-30 C, humi around 70%.

Trust the cold stick attracted to much HO2 ....

Now I let it rest for a few hours inside the house.

That help so far for my case.

its humidity and smoking style. if you find yourself smking very slowly then this will make the inward burn easier to happen.

Good to know.
