Coolio Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 I haven't felt like having a smoke for over a week now due to a persistent head cold, and so have become a little bored! I thought i'd post this photo my mother took in South Australia last week. It's a shot of the Flinders Ranges, one of Australia's most scenic and beautiful areas. I thought it might be a good opportunity (and slightly off topic for this forum of course!) for my fellow stogie lovers to post a favourite photo of their own. It doesn't have to be one that you've taken yourself, or even a place that you've actually been. But make it a favourite outdoors photo, not one from the inside of your walk in humidor!! Coolio
Tino Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 Great shot! Love the cloud formation over the mountains. Here's a photo I took in Croatia last September, looking down over Hvar harbour and the Pakleni Islands.

Coolio Posted July 8, 2013 Author Posted July 8, 2013 Here's one I took last year looking back down the eastern side of the beautiful Moreton Island, near Brisbane. It's hard to believe we live in a capital city so close to beautiful beaches like this one!
ptrthgr8 Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 5 October of last year we made the drive from our home in North Dakota to our Weimaraner's breeder in Carter, Montana. Helluva roadtrip - about 1500 miles roundtrip and we were home the night after we left. Won't be doing that again any time soon. On the way home 6 October we stopped to snap some pics of the Badlands on the North Dakota side. Our side is pretty impressive, but the Montana side is even better - should have gotten some pics from that side while the sun was still bright and shining, but even these early evening shots show the scale. I'm always impressed at the massiveness of the land around here. Definitely hard to feel cramped like I did when I lived in Seattle. (And, to be fair, Seattle is nothing like NYC or LA, etc.) Cheers, ~ Greg ~
Squarehead Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 Nice pictures everybody.I have to look if I can dig out some of mine(but not today).
Perla Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 This is the place where I went to school (awful longtime ago). It was a foehn situation end of January this year. View from our apartment near San Sebastian in April this year. Sundowner Last but not least a light-tower
daggersarge Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 Here's one I took of the view from my lanai when I lived in Kaneohe Hawaii a few years back.
Rye Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 Some truly awesome shots on this feed! I never for a second, take where I live for granted. This is a shot from one of my favorite smoking spots when the trail allows. This was early this spring. Taken with my IPhone. I really need to invest in a good rig.

Reminds me that I must go and see The Lone Ranger! Great shots Greg.

Bahnofstrasse Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 The Matterhorn on the Gondola ride up to the Klein Matterhorn on 6/20...
Perla Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 San Sebastian looks lovely! Although it looks like a long hike down to the beach! No it was only 50m to the beach. The house is on a rock and the elevator get us down to street level (you can see the street in the left corner).
pandyboy Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 Wow, some amazing pics here. In March I took my wife to a little known Art Deco hotel in Devon UK called Burgh Island. One morning I made my way to the beach and managed to get this shot.
mazolaman Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 Nice photos folks, Burgh island....Agatha Christie, and the tractor that takes you there.. Also found San Sebastian so beautiful. All the photos are really beautiful, we are lucky creatures to live on this beautiful planet. I'm a lucky boy, as we left London behind, and moved back up here to the Lake District.
marty922 Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 A couple from my motorbike tour a few years ago. Grand Tetons, outside Jackson Hole, Wyoming Logan's Pass, Glacier National Park, Montana - Probably the most awe-inspiring vista I have witnessed. Loved it.
