I don't know, Bear.

As a matter of fact I haven't heard about them for a long time.

I smoked one of these along with the rest of the Monte special editions over a few months earlier this year. They're pretty good, although not as good as I remember them being when they came out.

For what it's worth I ranked it about in the middle of the pack; not as good as the more recent ELs (520, GE), but better than some of the early ones (2000 Robusto, C, D).

Outside of the DC ELs, I haven't liked any of them better than regular production Montecristos.
