Spending a week at a resort in Montego Bay. Only wish I had taken some of my cigars along for the ride. There is a small cigar shop in the resort with the official looking "habanos" sign over the door. Cigars are on the pricey side and selection is limited. Clerk was really pushing the Jamaican sticks which weren't much cheaper than the Cubans if in fact they were even real. At least the alcohol is on the house...lol

Just a heads up the only Jamaican stick I had in Jamaica was pretty bad. Thankfully I brought my own sticks. From another forum I was reading that Jamaica is really full of fakes so be careful.

Plenty of fakes in JA. The only store that I felt confident of their authenticity was in the Time Square Mall in Negril. This store has since closed down. Take your own next trip :) We still love Jamaica, but not for their cigars.

What was in the Jamaican sticks?

She was trying to sell me a brand called pride of Jamaica. I grabbed a couple of HDM for a few bucks more.

Always carry your own. I never, ever travel without a well stocked supply in my luggage.
