Any other racing (IMHO the only racing is horse racing) fans out there?

Day one of Ascot, sadly I am not going but have backed - Elusive Kate, Magician & Championship.

i do remember going to ascot several times when over there, though i think i only made the track once or twice. rest of the time in the car park. huge.

i do remember a group of us, long after the day's racing finished, getting in the stalls, or whatever you call them, not sure how, and having our own, on foot, race. a bunch of blind drunk, falling down drunks in morning suits must have looked as ridiculous as it was.

and on another day, a mate and i were the very last to leave the car park (which is actually the royal ascot golf club co-opted for the week) and my mate, who had pinched his boss's car for the day (dangerous as his boss was the agent-general for victoria), drove straight into a bunker. fortunately, he gunned it and we shot straight out the other side but it must have made a hell of a mess.

thoroughly irresponsible behaviour and i disapprove of it 100%.

for me, way more fun than the actual racing.
