Cohiba Stevie
About bloody time! http://m.gizmodo.co.uk/2013/06/theyve-invented-a-twist-off-wine-cork-and-life-will-never-be-the-same Stevie
Colt45
I imagine there are those who will buy into it. I've never had a problem using a pulled cork to seal an opened bottle.
DrunkenMonkey
What do people have against screw tops anyway? I've never had a corked bottle under a screw top.
Ken Gargett
it will have the same problem as all agglomerated corks - higher tendency to taint as bringing together so many tiny pieces from many different sections of cork, especially the lower quality cork that is used for agglomerates, greatly increases the chance of taint somewhere in there. the gout de glue (forgive the presumably appalling french). the glue used to hold the agglomerate together imparts an undesirable impact onto the wine, and however small it may be, who needs that? i cannot believe that anyone would use these corks on anything but real cheapies and in that case, why on earth they wouldn't use screwcaps (and this applies to higher quality wine as well) is beyond me.
