mf83 Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 I bought this last week along with a Partagas D4 which i was going to review also, but unfortunately the photos of that were too big so the Punch it is then! this is a nice looking cigar, the wrapper is consistent and the construction was excellent. the aroma at cold was of nice tobacco with just a hint of herbs and barnyard. The opening draw was quite firm but workable but this actually opened up about a third of the way through. The opening itself was very smooth with a very pleasant roasted tobacco character. The cigar didnt really evolve until the last third which had a hint of maize to it, overall the flavour was that of herbs and toasted tobacco which were very pleasant. I have not smoked a lot of cigars but the size of this cigar (took 45 mins for me) and the flavour profile really appeal to me and i will definately get another couple. Overall i would give it 90/100.
Jeremy Festa Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Spot on there mate. I had one on Friday, by the beach. There was a fierce off shore wind so mine burnt through in half an hour. But made my surf check all the more enjoyable! Since the surf was flat :-(
Perla Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Thank you for the review. tinypic.com is very useful for big pics.
