mychetboy Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 I am just curious if Habanos publishes any production numbers for their brands, limited editions, regional releases, etc...I understand that under certain releases the number of boxes producted, etc.. are released. I am just curious if normal production / selling statistics, etc.. are made available? I would love to know how many boxes of a niche brand, versus global, etc..are made and released.
CaptainQuintero Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 Drips and drabs I think but no official breakdown, at least from what I've seen. There is a Fisherprice list released every once in a while saying the top 5 selling cigars such as PSD4 or Monte 4 or Siglo 6 etc. I read a few days ago that SLR is limited to around 60,000 cigars a year, but how true that is I have no idea, it's the first time I've read such a thing.
Colt45 Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 General consensus is that they don't make these stats readily avaiable. Here's a brief discussion if you're interested: Link Trevor has also mentioned in another discussion on the topic that it isn't done.
sengjc Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 ...I read a few days ago that SLR is limited to around 60,000 cigars a year... I have heard something like that too about the SLR brand: apparently the Double Coronas are quite limited in production numbers.
Charltonc Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Why are slrs so easily available online, minus the discontinued churchills, corona, lonsdales, serie b, and PC?
Charltonc Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Stupid question, because they don't sell. Well on that note I did enjoy a nice slr serie a from 01 before dinner. I love slr.
Smallclub Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Stupid question, because they don't sell. Not true. They sell in Europe (not Spain but France, Benelux, Germany, etc.). The SLR churchill is one of the most popular churchills on french cigar forums.

Smallclub Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Some sales/shipments numbers from 2010: http://www.cigarafic...uban-Cigars_456 There is a famous error in this article: it's the JL Piedra Cazadores, not the RyJ Cazadores, that accounts for 5% of the market…
