I don't have much experience with RA but does RASS also have the "stewed fruit" flavor? I usually taste apple cinnamon everytime I smoke a RASS.

I also taste Stewed Fruit in my aged RA's (particularly in my 898s)........and tart fruit in some of my favorite Punch cigars. I probably wouldn't like 'em as much if I didn't!

It's worth reminding ourselves that the descriptions we use to describe what we taste are analogs that allow us to find a common descriptive language. Do we really taste nuts, chocolate, espresso, strewed fruit, etc? If we did, we'd maybe we'd be describing flavored ice cream! But I know the cigar flavors that are being referenced when those and other descriptors are used, and they are reasonable analogies. That being said, I agree wholeheartedly that many of the RAs I enjoy (estupendos, various phoenocias, grandes, benelux, etc,), have that stewed/sour fruit flavor (as well as some Punches), and it's one my very favorite cigar profiles!

you didnt say u dont like steweed fruit. u make fun of bundwallah bc he likes it. different! idea.gif

u say something. people call u. u say no i didnt say it. then i am victim! - recalls me mash's comment on you in CA rolleyes.gif

' i say what i want. dont like it? push ignore button ' ? - easy solution for u but not work like that.

and no problem for not changing! thumbsup.gif

Okay, if the guy that has a hard time with English can get it (and no offense Bastian - you are doing damn good! thumbsup.gif), why can't Shlomo???

Shlomo. I had a great morning, afternoon and evening thus far. Thanks for checking. ok.gif And yet, it did not cloud my judgement in calling out your condescending response.

This here. --> "Stewed fruit. Every time I see that as a "signature RA flavour" it makes me laugh...LOL". Gets an automatic eyeroll. Here it is again for kicks. rolleyes.gif You post a lot and much of it is good and helpful but you cannot seem to help yourself to a bit of "high and mighty" posts now and then. You seem to have this desire to be heard on even the most trivial of things and giving us your "opinion". Re-assess your methods. There are ways to contribute without coming across as a jerk. We've met in person a couple of times and smoked. Sure. And in person you're a decent enough guy. And in all honestly, I bear no malice to you though I do not mind the verbal sparring now and then. It keeps the blood in my brain flowing. smile.png However, your online reputation is taking a beating. I don't know if you're being caustic half the time or really can't help yourself. So here's some friendly advice. If you care to heed it. Great. If not. I will not lose a wink of sleep. My advice is. Choose your words carefully. You can be funny, insightful and helpful without resorting to being FOH's "Don Rickles". Don't get me wrong. I love Don Rickles. His comedy in the context of "putting on a show" is great. If he keeps that up off stage? Well, it's sad. Be funny Shlomo..but don't be a clown. wink.png

Well put, Frank. Definitely nicer than I would have put it... <_<

We all find different things in cigars. We have to as our palates all have a different physiology! I think we all should be proud of our palate....couldn't care if we taste stewed fruit or fruitloops cereal or .....for Smithy's benefit...roast lamb rotfl.gif

You taste it and it's real. You debase someone else's experience and it is far more a comment on yourself.

You find a cigar that has hints of Fruitloops and I will definitely try it, lol.!

A wise choice. I am already halfway through my box of these, and as previously stated, they are only getting better.

The first couple I've smoked had minor burn issues and minor harsh spots (which were quickly fixed by purging) but the last couple haven't had any issues.

They are not yet as good as the Gorditos, but that may be attributed to age and size.

For what they are, I thought the price was reasonable including 15% discount. If the price went up $90, I'm glad I ordered last week. Got some Gorditos too!party.gif

Excellent. I'm glad you waded through the chaff and found what you were looking for. IMO they're excellent cigars.

As for this thread, I'm going to lock it down. The OP got what he needed. Some of us vented, others jeered but no longer.

Cheers,

Frank
