Hello,

Name is Josh. I have been smoking since around 2001 but have not been very active on the forums for the last 6 or 7 years. Was a member of CigarUtopia and Cigarweekly back then ... CW activity sure has declined and CigarUtopia isn't even around anymore.

This year I have definitely started smoking & purchasing more and found this forum more useful and active than most.

I did have a quick question regarding mold. Purchased some Monte #4s in a 5x5 (not from anyone/anything related to this site) and about one or two sticks in each cardboard box had a small speck of mold on them. Wiped them down and stuck them in my desktop. The amount was really small but each box had 1-2 cigars with a little speck. I have since figured out after reading a couple threads on here that it seems cigars in the cardboard are much more prevelant to mold. Anything I should be concerned about beside checking in on them? I am guessing I should just take them out of the cardboard all together. Do I need to be fearfull of them spreading the mold? My humi sticks around 65% with a temp around 72-75 (I am in AZ).

Welcome to the FOH forum Josh and happy smokes.

Welcome from Central Phoenix...I have had worse and my usual response is to smoke those first and fast :) Then again I smoke quite a bit so I don't need prompting to fire up something.

Maybe we need another Az gathering as it seems we have a few folks around here.
