Ken Gargett Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 been away all last week but got back to the creek reduced to a managable size and not imitating olympic kayak courses. all the mud and sediment dropped out so beautifully clear. first thing i saw was an eel-tailed catfish. don't often see them but this one was out and seemed to be guarding a weird circular area. i thought it might be a nest. just checked google and sure enough, exactly that. didn't take them long, given that for the last couple of months, it has been murky puddles and then raging floods. this will give you an idea.
Ken Gargett Posted February 11, 2013 Author Posted February 11, 2013 you'd want a serious aquarium, no matter what this bloke says, because they are at least 18 inches long.
Bunner Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Cool to see it in the wild!... having the appropriate sized aquarium would be a massive aquarium.
Cohiba Stevie Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Really cool... I would love to see a collective list of all the different types of animal youve seen out your back garden ken. A video tour would also be great. Keep well mate
