BoomerSooner
Put a couple of bone in turkey breast on the smoker for Thanksgiving. I used a meat fork and poked some holes into the breast through the cavity. Rubbed them with a little olive oil, added fresh cracked pepper and salt, little garlic powder and let them marinate over night in the fridge. I started the smoker and let the turkeys set out for about 45 minutes to come to room temp while the smoker box heated up. I put them in the smoker breast side down put a stick of butter in the cavity which is why I poked the holes earlier along with a little dried rosemary. I smoked them for about 7 hours at 225 degrees. After they finished smoking I tented with some foil for about 30 to 40 minutes and then carved. Huge hit with the family and if I say so myself they were outstanding. A couple of family members do not really care for turkey but ate this and liked it. I can recommend it to anyone to try.
